GWC Undergraduate Application

Application Materials and Procedures

To be eligible students must be:

  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents
  • 3.0 or above student at his/her university or high school
  • High school students - must be at least 16 years of age

Please fill out this online application and also return, by mail, the following:

  1. Official Transcript
    Including course grades, and courses currently enrolled in
    If your transcript doesn't include the above infomration, ask your adviser to sign a copy of the information and attach it.
  2. Two recommendations
    Recomendations must come sealed in an envelope from the recomender

Personal Statement
State your purpose in applying to the George Washington Carver summer internship program. Include specific research interests you would like to work in, your approach to research, and your goals as a professional. Indicate any experience, coursework, skills, obstacles you've overcome that you think will help the selection committee choose you. Please limit your statement to 600 words or less. You may write you statement in another program and paste it in below.
Diversity Statement
Please write a response to each of the following: 1) What challenges do you feel diversity students face in higher education? 2) How have you advocated for diversity in the past, and how you will advance diversity in the future. Please limit your statement to 300 words or less. You may write you statement in another program and paste it in below.
